Once a student of economics at Milan’s Bocconi University, Alberto Foà wrote his thesis on international economics and graduated in 1982 with the maximum vote. He spent the next few years working as an economist. After a brief stint in the US and then Rome, Foà returned to Milan with Citibank, taking the position of bond & swap trader. From there he moved to Finanza e Futuro Fondi Sprind in 1988, where held the dual role of bond fund manager and head of strategy. For the next decade Foà was founder, CEO and head of investment at Anima SGR. He left Anima in 2009 and a year later he co-founded AcomeA SGR where he is head of bonds and President.
Milan-based Marco Sozzi is currently a senior fund manager at AcomeA SGR where he has worked since July 2010. Previously Marco served in the same role at other asset managers including Effe Gestioni SGR and SAI Asset Management. He holds a degree in corporate finance from the Università Cattolica Sacro Cuore. Away from the office, Marco enjoys art and literature.
The Fund is mainly invested in financial instruments of a bond and/or monetary nature of corporate issuers, of government and supranational issuers, agencies, without geographical restrictions, with ratings even below investment grade or without rating. The investment in equity financial instruments is residual. The financial duration of the fund is flexible and may vary over time. Investments are mainly denominated in euros and in the currencies of the main reference countries. Active management of exchange risk. Geographical areas: Any geographical area.
